Calibration Mode is entered by holding down the Speed and Stop buttons while inserting the safety key. There are five levels to this mode. Move from one to the next by pressing the Stop button. To exit this mode, remove the safety key at any time.
Level 1 - Console Configuration. This level displays how the console has been configured to operate. In addition, each button on the console can be tested. A numerical value for each button is displayed in the Time/Pace window as it is pressed. Each window displays the following
TIME/PACE - (left half) Controller Type '1'
TIME/PACE - (right half) Button Test Values
SPEED/ INCLINE - Maximum speed of treadmill
CALS/FAT CALS - Calorie formula modifier '0'
DISTANCE/ LAPS - Software version number
Level 2 - Speed and Incline Calibration. This level calibrates the speed and incline of the treadmill. To calibrate inclie, press either Incline button.
To calibrate speed, press and hold the Speed button until an 85% duty cycle speed control as signal as shown in the Distance/Laps window. The Cals/Fat Cals window shows the actual speed of the treadmill. Adjust the MAX SPD pot on the controller until 10 MPH is displayed. Press and hold the Speed button. Do not press Stop until the treadmill comes to a complete stop.
Level 3 - LED test. This level lights all console LEDs in sequence. The Speed buttons control the speed of the lighting pattern.
Level 4 - Total Time and Distance. This level shows the total time and distance on the treadmill.
TIME/PACE - Total time in hours
CALS/FAT CALS - Units; E = English, M = Metric
DISTANCE/LAPS - Total Distance in miles
Level 5 - Functional Test. This level allows the treadmill to operate. Both the Target speed and Actual speed of the treadmill is shown. Actual in Cals window, PWM output from the console is shown in the Distance/Laps window.
