1. Remove the key from the console and unplug the power cord.
WARNING: Remove the key from the console and unplug the power cord before beginning. Electric shock and injury may occur if the power cord is connected to an electrical outlet. Read these instructions before beginning.
2. Remove the five hood screws, and then remove the motor hood.
3. Disconnect the upright wire harness from the console wire.
4. Raise the right uproght cover.
5. First, remove the upright strain relief. Next, remove the upright ground wire. Then, remove the belly pan strain relief.
6. Remove the frame ground wire. Next, unplug the upright wire harness. Then, cut the upright wire harness in the location shown.
7. Cut off the lower end of the old upright wire harness.
8. Wrap the new upright wire harness around the cut end of the old upright wire harness. Using electrical tape, tightly wrap the ends of both upright wire hairness together. Make sure that all loose wires are fully ceovered by tape.
9. Carefully feed several inches of the old and new upright wire harness up through the upright. Continue to feed and pull the upright wire harnesses until the new upright wire harness is in place.
10. Remove the tape applied in step 8. Discard the old upright wire harness.
11. Reverse steps 6 to 2 and reassemble the treadmill. Make sure that the strain reliefs are placed on the new upright wire harness in the same locations as they were on the old upright wire harness.
